The present orchestra has been working together since 2005, when the previous two orchestras of the town were combined, so the well-known, highly appreciated traditional brass band together with the young and enthusiastic musicians has become a combination of generation, as people from 14 to 55, representing three generations in one band. The members of the band learnt and are still learning instrumental music at the music school of the town.
Entertainment on the highest level in open-air concerts, full-night performances, participation in local, national and international festivals, representing the town of Sárvár, are considered to be the main goals of the band.
The group has also a wide diversity of international connections, touring and giving popular, successful concerts in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, France, Slovakia, Bohemia. In 2007 in the 10th National Evaluation of the Hungarian Brass Band Association our band got the highest, “C” level evaluation with a gold grade, as a concert and entertainment brass band.
In the same year the band won the 2nd price in the MID Europe brass band world competition in Schladming, Austria.
The repertoire has a wide range of musical pieces including marches, brass band concerts and adaptations from high level light music.
